About Kulik Bird Sanctuary

Raiganj is District head quarter of Uttar Dinajpur District of West Bengal Sate of India. It is about 450 KmFrom Kolkata and 250 Km from Darjeeling.

According to many, Kulik (Raiganj) Bird Sanctuary is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Asia. The sanctuary is themed for conserving birds, after all the sanctuary hosts almost 70,000 to 80,000 migratory birds every year! The figure is very pleasing for the bird lovers as there is hardly any other sanctuary that offers such vast range of birds.

The sanctuary is distributed is in small packets and surrounded by a lively river called Kulik. The dense deciduous forest at the Raiganj Sanctuary is really a treat to visit and spend times.
